Rates for book indexing will generally range from $3-5 per indexable page, and are determined by the density and complexity of the material. I typically request a representative chapter or two from the middle of the text for determining the appropriate rate for each project. Bids for periodical indexing can be provided as a flat rate, or by the hour, journal, or article. If you can provide some sample issues, that will be most helpful for the determination of the appropriate fee. For website indexing, please contact me to discuss the scope of the project.
